"National Conference on Biotechnology Innovation: Interdisciplinary Approach to Agriculture, Food, Health, Environment and Sustainable Development"

27th-28th September 2019 (http://natconbio2019.srmu.ac.in/)

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Our understanding of the workings of life has significantly enhanced in the recent times. Cutting-edge technologies like next generation sequencing, genetically modified organisms, high-throughput drug discovery methods, pharmacogenomics, agrigenomics, high-throughput gene expression analysis, etc have brought a paradigm shift in the ways we address problems related to human health, agriculture, world hunger, climate change and sustainability. National Conference on Biotechnology Innovation: Interdisciplinary Approach to Agriculture, Food, Health, Environment and Sustainable Development (NatConBio-2019) aims to be the confluence point for scientists, academicians, research scholars, students and industry professionals to gather, discuss and share their thoughts on the fundamental problems of biology, and how a better understanding of these problems could lead to potential solutions to them. NatConBio-2019 offers several sessions from different areas in the field of Biotechnology in the form of Keynote and Plenary sessions including oral and poster presentations. The conference will be held at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University in association with Society for Biotechnologists India (SBTi) on September 27-28, 2019. It will address fast growing technologies in the field of biotechnology with significant opportunities for all the stakeholders. NatConBio-2019 will bring together practitioners, researchers, and clinicians on a universal forum, enabling the exchange of novel advancement in the field of Biotechnology in both science and practice. NatConBio-2019 is the best place to enhance networking and would provide opportunity to interact with national leading scientists and researchers.

SOCIETY FOR BIOTECHNOLOGISTS INDIA (SBTI)

SBTI was established in 1995 with its headquarters in the Department of Biotechnology, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Cochin. The society is dedicated to the advancement of biotechnology specially to unite scientists, students, academicians, doctors, industrialists and professionals. The society promotes the exchange of scientific information through workshops, conferences and publications in the emerging areas of biotechnology. The society has 18 honorary members, more than 2000 life and ordinary members from various fields of Biotechnology

INSTITUTE OF BIO-SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

The Institute of Bio-Sciences & Technology was started under the aegis of Institute of Engineering & Technology in 2012. After two successful years it was elevated to Institute of Bioscience & Technology in 2014. Initially Faculty of Biotechnology started with B. Tech in Biotechnology (4- years) programs and subsequently it broadened into Institute of Bio-science and Technology with the courses: B.Sc. Honors (BT), B. Tech (BT), M.Sc. (BT), and M. Tech (BT) with specialization in Bioprocess Engineering/Molecular Biology/Immunology.
